Kensington Primary School is a great school that has been neglected by the government.
Our kids, their teachers and staff work hard at school, and they deserve the facilities they need to excel.
Work is urgently needed to fix unsafe parts of the playground, ripped and torn carpets, uneven flooring and loose floorboards, mould, and to replace portaloos with real toilets for staff.
Recently, a large piece of concrete moulding fell from the front of the school. This was the last straw.
Our community stood together, and called on the government to provide funding to fix our school.
Just days before the election, we secured $200,000 for the most urgent repairs. But we need at least $1 million more just to bring Kensington Primary School up to standard.
