FIX KENSINGTON PRIMARY

Exciting update: I'm so pleased to announce that through our work with Kensington Primary we were able to secure $7.4 million in funding to do urgent maintenance! I'm working closely with the school and the state Government to ensure that this much needed funding comes through so the school can get started on repairs.

Kensington Primary is a great school, but the school buildings are over 140 years old and they need some serious work to fix them up.

Right now, teachers, staff and kids are trying to work and learn in buildings with collapsing floors, leaking roofs, a closed playground and inadequate bathrooms.

For the past three years, I've been working with a group of parents to get more State Government funding to fix the school.

We’ve made some serious headway and have secured funding for urgent works, like cleaning up mould and building wheelchair accessible ramps. But a lot more needs to be done. Buildings need restumping, gutters need replacing, and unsafe playgrounds need to be replaced.

Teachers, staff and kids at Kensington Primary School deserve to have a school that is safe and comfortable.

Sign the petition to call on the state government to upgrade Kensington Primary School so that staff and parents can focus on what they do best; teaching and supporting our kids.
