Senior Advisor - Parliament, Campaigns, Climate Policy and Office Operations

We’re looking for a self-motivated and strategic team member to join the office of Ellen Sandell, Greens state MP for Melbourne. Ellen was elected in 2014 as the very first lower house Greens MP in the Victorian Parliament. She holds the portfolios of climate change, energy, environment, resources and Treasury and Finance.

Our office is small, collaborative and strategic. We want someone who is an innovative thinker, is driven to achieve outcomes, and who can be part of a small, nimble and fast-moving team. We want someone who is enthusiastic, with a positive attitude, is organised and with and really great attention to detail.

We thrive on getting outcomes for our residents and on the big issues we care about, like climate change, environmental protection, and social justice -- and we want someone who can fit with this culture.

Term of appointment: 0.9 or 1.0 FTE.

Work hours are between 8am and 6pm, with some overtime and weekend work possible, including attending community events on behalf of the MP.

Salary: Electorate Officer Grade 3, starting at $78,681 (plus superannuation). Salary will depend on experience level.
